About Us

The Elkton Church of God was organized on March 19, 1981

The Church was first located in various store fronts 

In 1992 We purchased the church building  at 102 West E Street.

In 2017 we purchased 14 acres at 2971 Homestead Rd. where we are now located.

Samuel and Nina Sponaugle came to pastor the church on August 24, 1986 with their two daughters. We have been blessed with a loving congregation for the past 35 years.

It is the church’s purpose to win many souls for the Kingdom of God.

We believe The Bible to be the Holy word of God written by men as The Holy Spirit inspired them to write.

Our Headquarters is The Church of God out of Cleveland Tenn.
